The Winter Menu is up! Lots of warming, slow cooked food including roasts, casseroles, stews and tagines; and as many salads and veggies as we can squeeze in! We are hoping to have lots of enticing recipe posts here over the season! If you would like to cook, photograph and write about one (or more!) of the menu items: please let me know!
The Pop-Up Cafe now has it’s own page. The funding application for this project is in and we have a timeline! We are holding a YamDaisy Pop-Up Cafe Information Session at Reservoir Neighbourhood House (Northern Suburb of Melbourne!) on Tuesday June 10th at 2pm. If you can get there we would love to see you! You’ll be able to see the space we will be using and hear all about the plans. Ring Reservoir Neighbourhood House if you would like to come (03)9462 4611, or just turn up. Nibbles will be provided!
We have 120 responses so far to The Great YamDaisy Comfort Food Poll of 2014. We’d love you to add your comfort meal! Click on this link. It only takes a minute! Lots of the comfort meals make their way into our menus!
On our facebook page we share news, recipes, relevant research and sometimes a cartoon!. YamDaisy is all about delicious food and support for those struggling to make nutritious daily meals. We are also interested in sustainable food production, local food, recipes, community food ideas and social enterprises! If you find something to share, we’d love to see it!
If you are interested to get our newsletter, you’ll be able to engage more closely with the decisions we make, and give us the feedback and support we need to make Yamdaisy Cafes a reality. Just fill in your name and email address in the box on the right of the screen. Edit! 6/6/14 We have discovered that the Newsletter Form wasn’t working. So now it is gone! Check out the contact page for the email link. We will use that until I can get something more sophisticated sorted! Apologies for any inconvenience!
Best wishes, I think the next post will be a Winter recipe. I wonder which one it will be!
