Autumn Menu

Menu Guidelines

Two weeks with a different menu each day to be repeated for the 6 fortnights in the season.
Each daily menu consists of a soup, two main meals and a fruit based dessert to choose from.
Each meal will follow the Australian Dietary Guidelines for nutrition and portion size.
Meals will cater for a variety of tastes and needs, responding to the local community.
YamDaisy will use seasonal, plentiful ingredients and avoid expensive ones.
YamDaisy meals must be easy for a tiny staff to cook in quantity in a small but well equipped kitchen.

This is a sample menu only! We want to show the type of lovely menu a YamDaisy Cafe will provide, but for each cafe the chef will produce a menu based on local ingredients, and responding to the local needs and wants.

M1    Sausage and Bean Hotpot with Polenta and Fresh Greens
M2    Pasty and Tomato Sauce with a Tasty Garnish
D       Apple Pudding with Cream
Wednesday
S       The Famous YamDaisy Vegetable Soup with Casalinga Bread
M1    Lasagne with Spinach and Mushroom and Carrot Salad
M2    Cajun Chicken Wings with Golden Mash and Green Beans
D       Mango with Coconut Icecream
Thursday
S       Mushroom Soup and a Crusty Roll
M1    Beef Curry and Rice with Slow Cooked Carrots and Broccoli
M2    Egg and Bacon Flan with a Zesty Salad
D       Autumn Fruit Salad with Orange Polenta Custard
Friday
S       The Famous YamDaisy Vegetable Soup with Garlic Bread
M1    Sweet Pea Fish Pie and Tomato Salad
M2    Eggplant Parmagiana with Nutty Rice and Vegetables.
D       Rockmelon and Lemony Ricotta Cream

Monday
S        Leek and Potato Soup with Dinner Roll
M1     Chili Con Carne with Corn Strips, Sour Cream, and Avacado Salad
M2     Pasta and Green Beans with Glorious Sauce and a Roast Chicken Drumstick
D        Apple and Rhubarb Cobbler with a dollop of Creaminess
Tuesday
S       Mediterranean Fish Soup with Fresh Bread
M1    Sausages, Baked Veggies, Broccoli and Gravy
M2    Yassa Chicken, Mashed Potato and a Green and Gold Salad
D       Bircher Muesli Dessert
Wednesday
S       The Famous YamDaisy Vegetable Soup with Melba Toasties
M1    Persian Lamb Stew with Couscous and Salad
M2    Grilled Chicken Strips with Wat Veggies and Rice
D       Honey Cinnamon Oranges and Toasted Hazelnuts
Thursday
S       Tomato and Lentil Soup with Baked Pita Bread Triangles
M1    Scrumptious Mince and Chickpeas with Baked Potato and Braised Carrots and Beans
M2    Roast Vegetable and Pasta Bake with a Lively Salad
D      Baked Fruit and Ricecream
Friday
S       The Famous YamDaisy Vegetable Soup with Herb Croutons
M1    Lamb Chop with Roasted Ratatouille and Rocket
M2    Fish Curry and Coconut Rice with Green Beans and Sweet Potato
D       Fruity Trifle
